Larry Page and Sergey Brin are computer scientists who cofounded the tech giant Google, Inc. Page, an American, met Russian born Sergey Brin at orientation for new students at Stanford. Their research paper, “The Anatomy of a Large-ScaleHypertextual Web Search Engine,” was the beginning of an invention that would revolutionize the internet and change the world. Today Google is so much more than just a search engine, it offers devices and a plethora of online services. But it’s ability to do accurate, fast, mass searches, is what made the internet navigable. It was Page’s PageRank which would become Google’s most well-known algorithm.
