2. Medical marijuana is a legitimate industry

People often question the motives of others. In the case of marijuana, a widespread belief among prohibitionists is that medical marijuana is just the proverbial “camel’s nose,” used to get legal, recreational use into the tent. I would assume the folks who think this way have never met a former soldier who swears that it’s the only thing that stops the dreams,or seen a young girls severe seizures nearly stop with the use of the drug. Medical marijuana is often cheaper than pharmaceuticals commonly used as painkillers, or to help treat arthritis. What may have, at one time, been a stepping stone to greater acceptance, availability and legality, has actually helped people who would otherwise be suffering and possibly saved them money as well. It can help people and we should make sure those folks are not caged for it. California rakes in between $59-109 million a year from tax on medical marijuana. So don’t be surprised to see more states embrace it.
