10 Products That Are a Rip-off
10. Fly Control For Farms
Fly control is a huge business. Most of the companies that sell fly control for stables and farms also sell spray to be applied directly to an animal. The majority of fly sprays list on the label that they are effective for up to 14 days. These sprays range in price from $9.99 to $24.99 per ready to use quart. The issue is when the spray dries on an animal it is only minimally effective if at all. There are made at home fly remedies that work just as well as the commercially purchased ones and cost next to nothing to make. There was a popular skin oil that a home based business sold that worked wonderfully on horses, dogs and people for all sorts of insects. This product had a pleasant smell and could be used safely on children, when it first came out it was reasonably priced. There is another home made product using apple cider vinegar that also works well and doesn’t cost very much. It isn’t too bad to reapply the spray if it isn’t expensive.
