The 10 Worst US Cities to Live In
2. Buffalo, New York
The glorious city of the bygone era of American Industrial Revolution has turned into a snow-buried wasteland of rusting factories, falling population, and trapped residents who have nowhere to go. Buffalo has been a part of the so-called Rust Belt of decaying industrial cities for decades, with no hope in sight. The city is notorious for its corrupt and inept government, and its complete disregard for the many problems of the city’s residents. Buffalo has one of the highest unemployment rates in the entire country, hence the massive poverty and the high number of foreclosures. The city is also ranked as having some of the most depressed populations, and its drug and alcohol consumption is also one of the highest in the US. Buffalo’s population continues to decline as the younger people flee elsewhere, and there’s no one to put the city out of its misery.
